Well, the NYC Rent Stabilization Board met and approved a 3.5% rent increase for the coming year. Oy, you should hear the bitching from tenants' groups. Now, I know that NYC rents are crazy, but if you're paying $250 a month for 2 bedrooms on the Upper East Side, a little increase ain't gonna kill you. People are paying $4000 a month for the same apartment in a non-rent controlled building. So, to all you people who are living close to free, shut the fuck up and pay your rent. It could be worse, a LOT worse.
